Shana Conradt is the published author of Getting Fit With Food, as well as a chef, weight loss consultant and speaker, but most of all, she is an outspoken advocate of a take-no-prisoners style of education when it comes to food, weight loss and life in general.
Shana’s love affair with food began at a young age while helping her mom prepare dinners in the kitchen. She became a gym owner, soon after graduating college, opening her first Ellipse Fitness location in 2002.
In 2010 Shana decided to make a tough choice, she sold her interest in the business she had created and decided to focus on food. She KNEW that it was her mission to share simple, easy to understand recipes and information with the world. And that is EXACTLY what she did when she then published her first book, Getting Fit With Food and opened her personal chef business, Make Me Hot Meals, with partner Liz Cookle.
Make Me Hot Meals (makemehotmeals.com) has exploded in the Fox Valley, Green Bay, throughout WI as well as in other states as a way to get delicious, organic food to busy health-conscious people in a playful and creative way!
Shana and Liz appear very regularly as food experts and healthy chefs on WLUK Fox 11's Good Day Wisconsin and Living With Amy.
Shana also had the privilege of working with Kristin Steede, a contestant on Season 7 of NBC’s The Biggest Loser.
Shana’s presentation topic will be the exciting world of carbohydrates and proteins! She will enlighten you on the functions of these food groups within the body, pull examples from her “bag of tricks” to display how to select the best of the best brands using actual food and real labels!
