Susan Amond Todd

Fiction

Susan Amond Todd has lived in North Carolina for the past 30 plus years but was born and raised in Neenah,WI. She is married with two grown daughters and grandmother to one little boy. Her career has been spent raising her daughters and in banking. As a young person, she enjoyed writing short stories and poetry, thinking maybe someday she would pursue more. White Lake is the result of what the author likes to call a ‘mid-life awakening.’ “I was at a point in my life where I knew I needed to make some changes,” she says. “I started by losing weight, exercising, and living healthier. Then I realized if I could do this, why couldn't I write the book I'd always told myself I’d write? I got an idea and started to pursue my dream.
If there's one thing I want to share with people, it's go after your dream no matter your age. The older you are, the more you appreciate it and in the long run you'll be happier, healthier, and enjoy life!”White Lake is her first novel combining her love of Wisconsin with that of the south; her second book, Return Home will continue the story.
