Susan Amond Todd
FictionAs a little girl, Susan Amond Todd overheard a conversation between her parents about how her grandmother had written a book. Despite her young age, a thought came into her head―I'm going to write a book someday, too. White Lake is that book combining her love of Wisconsin with that of the south.
For the past 30 plus years she has lived in North Carolina but was born and raised in Neenah, WI. She is married with two grown daughters and grandmother to one little boy. White Lake is the result of what the author likes to call a ‘mid-life awakening.’ “I was at a point in my life where I knew I needed to make some changes,” she says. “I started by losing weight, exercising, and living healthier. Then I realized if I could do this, why couldn't I write the book I'd always told myself I’d write? I got an idea and started to pursue my dream.”
“If there's one thing I want to share with people, it's go after your dream no matter your age. The older you are, the more you appreciate it and in the long run you'll be happier, healthier, and enjoy life if you're doing something you love.”
