First-time children’s book author Laura Kuehl of Greenville, Wis., will present on the very same theme her book, You’ll Always Be Enough, addresses: self-love. Laura weaves her message within her book through rhyming text and rich illustrations, showing children, through the discoveries of each baby animal, that differences are to be celebrated and that a longing to be “better” should never outweigh the beauty that each unique individual already possesses. Through her own struggles with family dysfunction, teen pregnancy and domestic violence, Laura herself has been on a personal journey of growth and acceptance. She’ll speak to these personal experiences and how they’ve shaped her hopes that no child should ever feel they are unworthy or unloved. As testament to her desires to bolster the self-esteem of children in the Fox Valley, Laura has committed to donating a portion of the proceeds of her book to local child-serving nonprofit agencies. Laura’s story – both that of her personal history and that told within the 32 pages of You’ll Always Be Enough – is sure to engage and inspire all toward self-acceptance.
