Amanda Ngoho Reavey is a poet and teacher interested in re-story-ation and ethnoautobiography. She is the author of Marilyn (The Operating System, 2015), winner of the 2017 Best Book Award in Poetry from the Association for Asian American Studies, and her work appears in Construction, Anthropoid, The Volta, and most recently, the anthology Women:Poetry:Migration, edited by Jane Joritz-Nakagawa.
Interested in the various ways in which we feel orphaned and untethered, and how we can use story and myth to reconnect ourselves to the earth, she is the founder of RestoryNation, which promotes creative writing as spiritual practice and the rediscovery of one's origin stories. Reavey earned an MFA in Writing and Poetics from Naropa University and is currently a PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Find her at restorynation.com.
