Why is Mickey a Mouse?

After a brief self-introduction, Ms. Kasza will start out talking about where book ideas come from.  Sometimes they come from very ordinary everyday incidents and sometimes they come from her own childhood memories.   Ideas are everywhere- and it all comes down to how you grab those ideas and develop them into interesting stories.  She will also show the process she goes through to create a book from writing to illustrating.  At the end, she discusses why she uses animals in her books, which will lead to introducing the foreign editions of her books.
