E. L. Risden is a Professor of English at St. Norbert College where he teaches medieval and Renaissance English literature, Classical Myth, linguistics, and poetry. He writes scholarship on the early periods of literature, literary theory, and medievalism. He also writes fiction and poetry (some under the pen name Edward S. Louis) and occasionally drama.
