Committing and Moving Forward No Matter What
October 14, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am CDT
Dr. Adam Stern, psychiatrist at Harvard Medical School and author of the new book Committed: Dispatches from a Psychiatrist in Training, will be sharing his story and the lessons he has learned in the years since graduating from medical school. Topics will range from the challenges he faced during training – from impostor syndrome to grief and eventually finding love and human connection – to his more recent years living with Stage 4 cancer as a young father and husband in his 30s. The focus of the talk will be on what we can learn from the challenges our lives present to us, and how we can commit to moving forward no matter what in a way that aligns with our values.
Register for the live virtual event through Zoom HERE! The event will be livestreamed to the Fox Cities Book Festival’s Facebook page and a recording will be available to watch after.
