Carla A. Manns
Non-FictionFirst Lady Carla Manns is the wife of Overseer G. A. Manns, senior pastor of Appleton Sanctuary Outreach Ministries, Inc. She is the mother of three beautiful children Allayah, Alexsis, and Elijah Manns. She serves in the ministry as a board member, treasurer, on the prison ministry team, and praise and worship leader. She believes in making a difference in her community as well. She has been effective on many community boards, providing a voice for those who are often not heard, and she shines a light on issues concerning the recognition of cultural differences and injustices of African Americans in her community. She volunteers for several organizations in her community including the Salvation Army, African Heritage Inc. and the Homeless Connection. In June 2018, she received the 2018 Sistah Power Award sponsored by African Heritage Inc., for her long-standing work in her community. She received her small business certificate from Fox Valley Technical College, her cosmetology licensing from Empire Beauty School, her cosmetology managerial licensing from Madison, Wisconsin, and Advanced Hair Care and Mastery Stylist Certificate from Dudley School of Hair Design in Chicago, Illinois.
