Having grown up in Charleston, SC, Eden Royce is the author of the critically-acclaimed debut novel, Root Magic (Walter Dean Myers Award Honoree and Andre Norton Nebula Award Finalist – both for outstanding children’s literature). She is a Shirley Jackson Award Finalist for her short fiction, which has appeared in a variety of print and online publications, including Broken Eye Books, FIYAH Literary Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction and The Year’s Best Dark Fantasy & Horror. She is a contributor to the Bram Stoker Award finalist anthology Sycorax’s Daughters. Eden lives in the Garden of England.
