Jerry Apps, born and raised on a Wisconsin farm, is Professor Emeritus at The University of Wisconsin-Madison and the author of more than 45 books, fiction, and nonfiction. Jerry has completed five hour-long documentaries with Public Television, one of which won a regional Emmy award. He has won numerous awards for his writing including the Distinguished Service Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s College of Agricultural and Life Science and the Major Achievement Award from the Council for Wisconsin Writers. He is also a Fellow at the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences Arts and Letters and was inducted into the Wisconsin 4-H Hall of Fame. Jerry received the White Cedar Award from The Clearing, where he has taught creative writing for 29 years.
