Joseph Rein is the author of the short story collection Roads without Houses (Press 53, 2018). His short stories, poems, and essays have appeared in over twenty journals and anthologies worldwide. He is also an accomplished screenwriter; his first feature film, Stillwater, was released in March of 2018. His stories and screenplays have been nominated for numerous awards including the PAGE International Screenwriting Contest and a Pushcart Prize. He is a native of the Fox Cities, and currently lives in River Falls, Wisconsin, with his wife and four children. He is currently an Associate Professor of creative writing at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
