Lori Degman writes in rhyme, most of the time – but not always! She is the author of the award-winning books: 1 Zany Zoo (Simon & Schuster, 2010): winner of the Cheerios New Author Contest and Illinois Reads Book Selection; Cock-a-Doodle Oops (Creston Books, 2014): 2015 International Literacy's Book Award - Honor Book; and Just Read (Sterling Publishing, 2019): Illinois Reads Book Selection; as well as Norbert’s Big Dream (Sleeping Bear Press, 2016), Like a Girl (Sterling Publishing, 2019), and Travel Guide For Monsters (Sleeping Bear Press, 2020). She was a teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and has a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Lori enjoys presenting at schools, libraries, festivals and writing conferences.
