Chloe Ellefson Historic Sites Mysteries

October 8, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm CDT

Chloe Ellefson Historic Sites Mysteries:  The Stories Behind the Stories

This lively, richly illustrated program takes readers behind the scenes to reveal the real-life experiences and historic places that inspired the ten books in her award-winning Wisconsin-based Chloe Ellefson Mysteries.  These include The Lacemaker’s Legacy, set in Green Bay and Door County, and the newest title, Fiddling With Fate. Kathleen will talk about how her 12 years working as a museum curator at Old World Wisconsin led to developing the series and its’ reluctant sleuth, curator Chloe Ellefson, how her research into police work shaped Chloe’s boyfriend, officer Roelke McKenna.  She’ll reveal how she conducts research, crafts the stories, and selects the historic sites and museums used as settings.

Kathleen will bring key artifacts that are featured in the mysteries—and door prizes!  She looks forward to chatting with readers and signing books after the program
