Stick Figure with Skirt

Poet Cathryn Cofell will read from and talk about the poems in Stick Figure with Skirt. Winner of the 2019 Main Street Rag Poetry Book award, Stick Figure with Skirt explores the theme of work from the complicated perspective of a woman/mother/wife/ caretaker wrestling with making a living vs. having a life. Pulitzer Prize winner Jericho Brown called Cofell’s book “humorous and morose . . .Dickinsonian in its way of believing in the power of the mind, the internal world, the imagination that always reaches beyond the self.”
