History not Forgotten- Sport- Ship Dog of the Great Lakes

The author will share the true story of Sport: a puppy rescued in Milwaukee by the crew of the lighthouse tender the Hyacinth in 1914. Sport spent the next twelve years as a ship dog traveling on Lake Michigan. His work as a ship dog, and adventures will be described using the picture book which has been illustrated by Renée Graef.
