Ginny Moon – the Djinn in My Bottle

Ginny’s voice came to me in a mysterious way, one that I’m still trying to comprehend.  In this talk we’ll explore the nature of voice, narration, and the quiet but calculating moves of the subconscious.

Voice is a marker for existence.  We tend to listen to the people who have the loudest, most charismatic voices – and we tend to ignore people who are quiet.  Ginny Moon is unique in that she has two voices: her inner voice, and the voice she uses to speak with her family, friends, and classmates.  Of the two, her inner voice is far more dynamic.  It’s one of those “big” voices, the kind that entices.  In this talk, I’ll explain the dual aspects of Ginny’s voice, as well as how it came to be, and how it serves as a vehicle for my own personal beliefs.
