Andrew McSorley Poetry Reading
On Friday, July 10 at 7 PM, Andrew McSorley will read from his collection What Spirits Return. The collection explores the complexities of memory and grief, all while playing with real and fictional elements of the life of Harry Houdini. Often set to the backdrop of rural Wisconsin, McSorley’s poems are at once elegiac, while also emerging from the darkness of loss to reveal the trick of survival.

Andrew McSorley is the author of What Spirits Return (Kelsay Books, 2019). He is a graduate of the MFA program in creative writing at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. His poetry has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and has appeared in journals such as The Minnesota Review, Blue Earth Review, Gamut Magazine, Gingerbread House Literary Magazine, SOFTBLOW, Rougarou, After the Pause, and the Lindenwood Review. He lives in Appleton, Wisconsin where he works as a librarian in the Seeley G. Mudd Library at Lawrence University.
How to Save a Life Summer Book Tour
On Friday, July 17, at 7 PM, meet authors Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke as they stop by the Kimberly Little Chute Public Library via Zoom on their summer book tour for their newest book How to Save a Life. Fenton and Steinke are the co-authors of seven novels, including the Amazon Charts bestseller, The Good Widow. Their forthcoming book, How to Save a Life, a dark, heart-pounding love story with a Groundhog Day twist, will release on July 14.
